TypeMate is a typing expander for PCs, laptops and tablets running Windows, which makes typing a breeze by converting shortcut keystrokes into full phrases or sentences. TypeMate works with almost any Windows desktop application that can accept text input, including Microsoft Office, OpenOffice.org, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and many more. In addition, TypeMate is also able to provide suggestions to complete the word that the user is currently typing, and is supplied with both US and UK English dictionaries containing over 110,000 words.

TypeMate runs in the background in either the taskbar or Windows notification area, so it stays out of your way when you don't need it.

Easy to define shortcuts and expansions
TypeMate's simple interface lets you get straight to defining your shortcuts and expansions. The Expansion editor lets you use multiple lines, fonts, sizes and colors an even lets you insert images.

TypeMate suggests an expansion as you type
As you type a pre-defined shortcut inside an application, TypeMate pops up a window near your cursor, where you can either choose the expansion it suggests, or just carry on typing to ignore it.
TypeMate automatically inserts the expansion
If you select an expansion, TypeMate replaces your shortcut with the fully formatted expansion. If your application doesn't support formatted text, TypeMate will automatically use a plain text version instead.

Autocomplete in any desktop application
TypeMate's Autocomplete mode suggests words as you type from its 110,000 word US and UK dictionaries. English not your first language? No problem - TypeMate lets you define your own dictionaries too.

Macro functions
TypeMate supports powerful recursive macro functions, such as inserting the expansion of another shortcut or inserting the date and time.

Expansions in Any Language
TypeMate supports extended characters and character sets such as Chinese, and also works with translation software such as Wordfast Pro.

Fully configurable
TypeMate features a set of configurable options that give you total control over how it works.
